Easy Digging Goes to Washington!

We're headed to DCIFF, y'all

This newsletter will be short and sweet. Just wanting to update everyone from the Easy Digging cast and crew (and any other interested parties) who subscribed to my newsletter with the promise of festival updates!

A few weeks ago we received a phone call inviting us to attend the DC Independent Film Festival. We heard such incredible praise of our film on that call, which honestly, had come at a time when I wasn’t sure if we would get another chance to attend a film festival. It was an unexpected and very validating moment.

Keith Charba, one of the co-producers on the film, and I will be attending the festival. Phil (the film’s lead) funnily enough will be in China on a trip and won’t be able to make it (my sources say that he went by plane). The film is getting two screenings — one on opening night (!!!) and another on the closing night of the fest. If anyone has friends or family in the DC area, feel free to share the ticket links with them (no festival pass required). It would be much appreciated!

I’m very much looking forward to attending, meeting other filmmakers, and sharing the film with more people — especially at a time when laughing at something stupid with a big group feels like a needed reprieve.

Thanks again to everyone who has worked on the film, who has supported it, and if you haven’t seen it yet, then I’m hopeful we’ll have a way to share it more widely later this year!

P.S. In the next week or so, I’ll be “officially revealing” the cover to my novel & how to pre-order it. But if you peek at my newly updated website, I may or may not have already quietly shared it there. Just saying!!!
